Creating a Floral Haven: Only Flower Studio Renovation

Nestled within the bustling streets of Hongxing Guangyuan Industrial Park in Beijing’s Daxing District, the Only Flower floral art studio stands as a testament to the harmonious fusion of architecture and nature. Renovated from an old factory building by Fangwei Architect in 2022, this project epitomizes the essence of gardening as a manifestation of humanity’s quest for an ideal living environment.

A Blossoming Oasis

The design ethos of Only Flower Studio revolves around facilitating the creation of beauty by providing florists with the perfect setting for their craft. The studio seamlessly integrates interior and exterior spaces, enveloping visitors in a tranquil and dreamlike atmosphere reminiscent of a “garden of flowers.” A free-flowing curved glass-brick wall serves as a unifying element, guiding guests from the entrance into the serene courtyard, where they can pause and immerse themselves in moments of tranquility.

Enchanting Garden Landscape

Central to the courtyard’s landscape are two majestic cypresses surrounded by ornamental leadworts, creating a dynamic focal point. A towering glass and red brick composite wall, standing at 7 meters high, elegantly separates the display area from the logistics section while serving as a captivating backdrop. The reflective water surface adds a touch of magic, blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion, and infusing the courtyard with life.

Inviting Interior Spaces

Inside the studio, the main parlor serves as a hub for sales and floral arrangements. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, illuminating the vibrant indoor flowers and accentuating the connection with the outdoor courtyard. A two-story glass flower wall provides an immersive experience for customers, allowing them to wander amidst a kaleidoscope of colors and textures. The second floor offers a greenery exhibition and a cozy resting area, inviting patrons to observe the art of flower arranging.

Innovative Materials and Technology

Fangwei Architect employs a blend of crystalline glass tiles and red bricks to achieve the studio’s curved brick walls, instilling a sense of fluidity and cohesion throughout the space. To preserve the freshness of the flowers, a cavity cooling system is integrated, ensuring precise temperature control for optimal flower display and storage.

In essence, the Only Flower Studio renovation exemplifies a harmonious coexistence between architecture, nature, and artistic expression, inviting visitors to embark on a sensory journey through a captivating floral oasis.
